New Cartridge Labeling
As a new innovative improvement, Sartorius Stedim Biotech filter cartridges now have a laser-engraved label on their top adapters. The plain-text clearly informs about the lot number, unique filter ID number, filter type, pore size or retention rate and order code. The high contrast of the writing leads to enhanced readability and avoids reading errors significantly.
Intelligent Processing Of The Coded Information by Sartocheck
In addition to providing the above mentioned plain-text information each label also has a data matrix code. Besides containing the information listed above, this code also includes the use-before date indicating the shelf life of the cartridge.
The data matrix code can be read by Sartocheck 4 plus using an optional barcode scanner.
| As soon as this Sartorius code is scanned, the captured information is directly inserted into the designated comment fields of the integrity test unit. Moreover, when the code is scanned in as part of the test start-up procedure, Sartocheck 4 plus automatically selects the suitable test(s) from the customer-defined program database.
